The UD is a 125 years old, non-profit university with 15% international students. 12 research institutes are spread in six main Faculty units. UD is one of 18 accredited to become an International Campus of Excellence in 2015 out of 51 applied. Interdisciplinary in nature, the present proposal is housed in DeustoTech. It is involved in national and international projects on e-learning, VET and one of the research focus is technology-enhanced learning with www.weblab.deusto.es :
E-Learning and Practical Training of Mechatronics and Alternative Technologies in Industrial Community; Strategy of Implementation of eLearning in Universities of Basque Country; Hybrid collaborative and semantic reasoning for the orchestration of services; Reusable learning objects;
WLpro: Professional equipment for remote experiments.
The remote lab - WebLab-Deusto is integrated in the current teaching, training, learning process using ECTS - lab sessions are aligned with competences and learning outcomes.
Role of the organisation in the project:
P3 will be WP3 leader and monitor/coordinate development of learning modules. With TC partners it will design 5 modules, set up remote lab for P7,P10, provide multilingual learning material, draw up manuals and coordinate its translations. In WP7 it will provide reports, communicate with P1, take part in all meetings and organize final. In WP1 it will participate in design e-surveys, analyse results and drafting reports. In WP2 P3 will trail Moodle platform (real-time experiments access, multilingual and target group adjusted environment, PLE). In WP4 P3 will organize the remote Lab session in training (P1), support execution of pilot training for TC partners and for their future authors/trainers. In WP5 it will participate in evaluation, certification, and planning of activities after the project lifetime. In WP6 P3 will participate in dissemination activities, organize iCo-op conference in Bilbao (Spain) and prepare an internal organizational plan to exploit the deliverables.
