|Design of Digital Control Systems|
The goal of this module is to introduce students with the basic types of programmable devices, the basic logic gates, dynamic effects in combinational and sequential circuits, techniques of construction the Boolean functions of systems operability and various minimization techniques for logical expressions, the design of digital control systems based on Finite State Machine (FSM) descriptions.
The laboratory part includes e.g. the design, implementation and verification of state machines control systems. For the practical part learners will use a rapid prototyping board as stand-alone system as well as the Web-based version of this board within the GOLDI for more complex designs.
